Refresher
If you're a certified diver and haven't dived for a while, we recommend taking a "refresher." This course consists of:
Presentation and assembly of diving equipment
We'll check the operation of the equipment and make sure you feel comfortable with it.
Review of pressure theory:
It's crucial to understand how pressure affects our airspaces, and how to protect, in particular, our ears and lungs.
Underwater communication using hand signals
Underwater, communication is limited, so it's essential that all participants know how to make themselves understood with basic signals, from "ok" to signals to abort the dive.
Exercises in confined or shallow waters
- Before our first dive, we'll do some essential exercises in the water:
- 1. Remove the regulator from your mouth, put it back in, and empty it before breathing again.
- 2. Empty the partially flooded and fully flooded mask.
- 3. Retrieve the regulator and empty it before breathing.
- 4. Share air with our buddy.
- 5. Control buoyancy using the buoyancy control vest (BCD).
- 6. Correctly compensate or equalize our ears.
- 7. Check the appropriate weight or ballast for each participant.
It is important that all questions or doubts are clarified before our first dive.
IMPORTANT: The group will be limited to a maximum of 3 participants per guide. If necessary, a Dive Master will assist the instructor during both exercises and dives.
